Without a doubt, the Camino ends at the tomb in the Cathedral of
Santiago. This, and no other, should be the end of the pilgrimage. Any
road that leads to Compostela must be considered to be the Camino de
Santiago. But you can end up in another place this year and decide to
continue from that point next year. Certainly, ending in Santiago has
its benefits, especially all through this Holy Year, but if you only
have a little time and you only do the last segment in Galicia, you
risk not getting to know the real Camino de Santiago due to the huge
number of pilgrims at the end of the Camino.
