Do not be disappointed if everything is not perfect, if it does not end
immediately, or if you cannot get what you want right away.
Life moves fast in cities. The rhythm of our appointments, planning our
agendas and schedules, timelines for finishing projects, dates for
exams, distances or crowds of people are part of what we all, more or
less, experience in life. Accustomed to the culture of efficiency and
speed, we find it difficult to slow down. The great battles, the big
projects, and the plans that we set out for ourselves always have a
first step that must be taken. They have their own rhythms that must be
respected. Do not be disappointed if everything is not perfect, if it
does not end immediately, or if you cannot get what you want right
away. Everything will work out! On the Camino de Santiago distances
seem large to us. Standing before great expanses we feel small, slow.
But that feeling is deceptive because as far as the horizon may be,
sooner or later, we will reach it and another will appear. We just need
to change our inner rhythm and value and enjoy our own steps.
